One of our blogging marathoners, Sapana from “Cooking with Sapana” is expecting a baby in couple of months and the group decided to throw her a virtual baby shower. The idea is to cook something from her blog and do a post. I made her watermelon melody. It is a refreshing drink and in other words, it is a smoothie made with watermelon, banana and yogurt. I made it for breakfast a week ago and we loved it.
Before getting to the recipe, wishing Sapana a very happy virtual baby shower! Wishing this little bundle of joy brings all the happiness to her and her family!
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
- 2 cups Watermelon pieces
- 1 ripe Banana mashed
- 1 cup yogurt
- ½ – 1 tbsp. Sugar (I used ½ tbsp. I thought it was perfect but husband it was sweet)
- 4-5 Ice Cubes (I did not use as both watermelon and yogurt were chilled)
- Take all the ingredients except ice cubes in a blender and blend until fruit are ground and blended well.
- Add ice cubes if using and pulse once or twice.
- Serve right away.
