Recap of A-Z Telangana Cuisine – BM # 63

Here is the roundup of the month long blogging marathon I did last month. For those of you coming here for the first time, here is a recap. Last month, I did A-Z series on Telugu Telangana cuisine. Though I chose to document recipes from Telangana region, I narrowed my theme to Telugu cuisine. The other cuisine popular in the region is Hyderabadi cuisine which is the cuisine of native Muslims from the region. Both the cuisines have influenced one another. Some of the food from Hyderabadi cuisine has been adapted, modified and have become a common preparations in many Telugu household home kitchens. I do want to feature some of those popular dishes sometime very soon. But for now, it is Telugu cuisine, to focus more on the native Telugu food that is either forgotten or not well known, though popular in home kitchens.

Journey Through Regional Cuisine, Journey Through Telangana Cuisine, Blogging Marathon,

At times, during this marathon I kept second guessing if I did justice by narrowing my theme to only Telugu cuisine but at the end of the day, I am pleased with my decision. If not for this BM, I probably would not have cooked some of the dishes I featured here last month. The recipes and information of the cuisine I shared here is based on eating and cooking habits in my family & relative circles. As with any cuisine, each household has it’s own version of recipes and cooking style varies from district to district. Hope you all enjoyed the series as much as I did; cooking, clicking and posting.
